Permanent Position

We are seeking an experienced Technology Business Manager to take ownership of Technology Business Management across a large and evolving technology function within a leading, high performing financial services company that is continuing to grow.

This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of Technology and Finance. You will bring greater financial discipline, cost transparency and commercial insight across technology spend, workforce, vendors and services, while helping shape and further develop the Technology Business Management function as the organisation continues to grow.

About the Role

You will own the Technology cost model and provide clear, forward-looking visibility across technology opex, forecasting, workforce costs, vendor spend and service consumption. Working closely with Technology leadership, Finance, HR and Procurement, you will help cost-centre owners understand their budgets, explain variances and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and optimise costs.

This is not simply a reporting role. We are looking for someone who can take ownership, challenge existing ways of working and turn complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights and a clear commercial story.

You will also have the opportunity to develop cost-to-serve measures and demonstrate the value Technology is delivering across the wider business, identifying where technology investment and automation are reducing costs and improving efficiency.

You will lead a small team of two and play a key role in bringing together Technology's financial processes, improving visibility and helping the function operate with greater commercial discipline and long-term financial visibility.

You will report into a Manager who was recently voted the best manager in the organisation, reflecting his fantastic management style and approachable, open personality. He is passionate about developing his people, giving them ownership and creating an environment where they are trusted to bring their own ideas and make an impact.
