IT Controls Analyst GRC

My client is a reputable Financial services business that has been in the Australian market for over 30 years. They are pioneers in their space and constantly looking to push technical boundaries.

Due to an immediate project need, they have a requirement for a mid-level IT Controls specialist that can provide evaluation, testing, and ongoing automation. This role will essentially trail the Operational 
Effectiveness (OE) and Design Effectiveness (DE) for IT Controls.

This is an initial 9 month contract and there is an expectation to work a few days from their brand new Darling Harbour offices.

Key skills and experience required:

  • A few years working to test IT Controls with a mid to large sized business.
  • Ability to determine if Design Effectiveness (DE) and Operating Effectiveness 
    (OE) has been met.
  • Ability to use professional judgement to determine control assessment ratings.
  • Solid understanding across IT Risk, Audit & GRC.
  • Financial background would be highly useful to understand various APRA regulations.
  • Automation skills that will help remediate any issues/failures. 
  • Strong communication & people skills - ability to work with various stakeholders.
