Project Delivery Lead – Website Rebuild

About the Role

One of Sydney’s largest hospitality players is undertaking a major redesign and rebuild of its flagship website. This is a rare opportunity to lead the delivery of a high-profile, enterprise-level digital platform that will redefine the online customer experience and support rapid business growth.

As the Project Delivery Lead, you will partner with the company’s Technology and Marketing Teams, and an external design and development agency, to manage and drive end-to-end delivery of the project. You will play a critical role in gathering requirements, aligning technical decisions with business objectives, and ensuring excellence in design, customer experience, and technology.

This role offers high visibility across the organisation, with regular interaction and reporting to executive-level stakeholders, including the CEO and senior leadership team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of website delivery, ensuring clear scope, timelines, priorities, and accountability across internal teams, executive stakeholders, and external partners
  • Manage requirements, project plans, milestones, and delivery roadmaps while maintaining strong alignment between business goals and technical execution
  • Oversee vendor and agency performance, ensuring delivery quality, on-time execution, and proactive issue resolution
  • Identify and manage project risks, escalating and mitigating issues early to maintain project momentum
  • Provide structured and transparent reporting to leadership, steering committees, and executives
  • Work hands-on with delivery tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, and Slack to manage workflows, prioritise backlog items, and track delivery progress
  • Collaborate with internal teams to uplift delivery capability and ensure effective knowledge transfer

 

Skills, Experience, and Attributes

  • 5+ years’ experience delivering large-scale B2C website projects with complex integrations and multiple stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated experience managing both technical and non-technical teams, executive stakeholders, and external digital agencies
  • Strong understanding of modern website architecture including Dynamic CMS, API integrations, headless and decoupled systems, hosting, infrastructure, and security standards
  • Skilled in digital delivery methodologies such as Agile or hybrid approaches
  • Proven ability to present confidently at executive level, with strong influencing, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience using project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, or Miro
  • Highly organised, delivery-focused, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative and professional team player who contributes positively to culture
  • Industry experience in hospitality, retail, or entertainment is desirable
