You will play a key role in maintaining and improving the organisation’s security posture across cloud, identity, and endpoint environments.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and improving security operations including incident response, vulnerability management, threat monitoring, and security posture improvement
Supporting and uplifting Microsoft security platforms across Azure and M365
Working closely with SOC / SIEM vendors and internal stakeholders
Contributing to security initiatives including Essential 8 maturity uplift, identity and access management (IDAM), and broader information security programs
Supporting security service management processes and ServiceNow workflows
Providing hands-on technical input into security improvements and remediation activities
You are a technically strong Security Engineer who enjoys being close to the technology and working in a collaborative team environment.
Key skills and experience:
7+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure and/or security roles
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS)
Solid experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory
Experience with Intune / MDM and endpoint security
Strong understanding of security tooling within the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g. Defender, security monitoring, posture management)
Experience working across security operations including incidents, vulnerabilities, and remediation
Comfortable working in hybrid operational and project delivery environments
Microsoft certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Security / Identity certifications)
Experience contributing to Essential 8 or similar security frameworks
Exposure to SIEM/SOC operations and vendor engagement
Experience in regulated or large enterprise environments
