Cloud Architect Azure - 12 Month Contract

My client is a Federal Government department delivering critical ICT and digital transformation initiatives is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to support the design and delivery of Azure-based solutions across a range of enterprise programs.

This role will suit a highly experienced cloud specialist who is confident translating business requirements into scalable architecture designs, engaging with stakeholders, and driving secure, compliant cloud solutions within complex environments.

Key Skills & Experience

Demonstrated experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer or Solution Architect, ideally within a Federal Government environment.
Strong expertise across Azure solution design and delivery, including high-level and detailed architecture (HLD/DLD), hands-on implementation of Azure services, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps pipelines, as well as Azure networking (hybrid architectures and cloud-native ingress patterns).
Familiarity with security frameworks and controls including ISM, OWASP, and the ASD Essential Eight
Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across business, engineering, cyber security, and enterprise architecture teams
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into clear technical designs, diagrams, and documentation.
Must hold an active Baseline Security Clearance at the commencement of the contract.
Have the ability to travel intermittently to Canberra office.

Start date: 1st July 2026
