My client is a Federal Government department delivering critical ICT and digital transformation services is seeking Exchange System Administrators to support the management, optimisation, and migration of enterprise messaging and collaboration platforms.
This role will suit experienced messaging specialists who are confident working across hybrid Exchange environments, driving migration activities, and resolving complex technical issues within large-scale enterprise environments.
Key Skills & Experience
- Expert knowledge of Exchange Server and Exchange Online, including the design, implementation, and support of hybrid Exchange environments within complex multi-forest environments
- Proven experience delivering Exchange migrations, including to Exchange Online, cross-forest migrations, and upgrades from legacy Exchange versions
- Strong troubleshooting capability across Exchange environments, including mail flow, gateway technologies, and hybrid/on-prem to cloud connectivity
- Solid understanding of Windows Server fundamentals including Active Directory, DNS, DFS, and Group Policy (including Advanced Group Policy Management)
- Experience working within Australian Government security frameworks, including ISM, ASD Essential Eight, and ACSC hardening guidelines
- Strong experience producing technical documentation including design documents, migration plans, SOPs, DR and decommissioning documentation
- Experience supporting enterprise messaging environments including Enterprise Vault archiving and mail data lifecycle management
- Ability to engage with stakeholders, contribute to technical workshops, and represent technical outcomes in project forums
- Experience with Microsoft 365 technologies including Intune, Purview Information Protection, and broader M365 services (desirable)
- Must hold an active Baseline Security Clearance at the commencement of the contract
