A leading finance and technology organisation, is seeking multiple Technical Leads to join their Sydney based technology team. These roles will champion technical leadership, delivery excellence, and engineering standards with a primary focus on Appian-based platforms and solutions.
As a Technical Lead, you will be instrumental in enhancing solution quality, accelerating delivery velocity, and ensuring platform stability aligned with enterprise architecture and regulatory requirements.
You will work alongside architects, product owners, scrum masters, and engineering managers, you will lead high-level solution designs, execute realistic delivery plans, and mentor engineers to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing hands-on technical leadership and oversight across squads to ensure consistent delivery of high-performing Appian solutions.
- Collaborating in sprint and Kanban planning to optimise team workflows and delivery cadence.
- Ensuring alignment of solutions with enterprise architecture, engineering principles, and security requirements.
- Leading technical design discussions and managing technical debt prioritisation for sustained platform health.
- Coaching and mentoring engineers through performance reviews, career development, and certification encouragement.
- Supporting hiring and onboarding processes to build a strong, skilled Appian engineering team.
- Actively participating in and contributing to the Appian Community of Practice to promote knowledge sharing, reusability, and platform standardisation.
- Driving platform governance models and adopting new platform features to sustain competitive advantage.
- Engaging with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align delivery priorities, manage dependencies, and communicate risks and trade-offs.
Candidate Profile:
- 5-8 years of hands-on application development experience including 3+ years with Appian.
- Proficiency with development and DevOps toolsets, CI/CD pipelines, and API integrations.
- Strong understanding of application design patterns, security implementations, and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, strategic thinking, and team coaching abilities.
- Appian Certification is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
