Applications Support Analyst

We’re partnering with a growing and well-regarded Australian organisation to recruit an Applications Support Analyst to join their Sydney-based technology team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with approximately 3–5 years’ experience who wants to move beyond traditional support work and become involved in end-to-end application ownership, integrations, enhancements and business-facing projects.

About the role

This role sits within a small, hands-on technology team supporting a broad ecosystem of business-critical applications and integrations.

You’ll work closely with the Applications Architect and internal stakeholders to support day-to-day operations, troubleshoot issues, coordinate releases and enhancements, manage vendors and contribute to ongoing projects and process improvements.

The role is approximately:

  • 50% BAU application support
  • 50% project, enhancement and improvement work

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting business-critical applications and integrations
  • Investigating application, data and integration issues
  • Working with APIs and system-to-system data flows
  • Coordinating with vendors on incidents, releases and enhancements
  • Engaging directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and solve problems
  • Assisting with testing, release coordination and user communication
  • Supporting reporting and data investigation activities
  • Working across Power Platform and low-code/no-code technologies

What we’re looking for

  • Approximately 3–5 years’ experience in Applications Support, Systems Analysis or Business Systems environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience supporting business applications within multi-system environments
  • Exposure to APIs, integrations and data troubleshooting
  • SQL experience for data investigation and support
  • Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, Logic Apps or similar technologies beneficial
  • Experience working with vendors and supporting releases/enhancements
  • Someone proactive, collaborative and comfortable working across both support and project environments
