About the Company
My client is a growing SaaS and Financial Technology business providing a specialist platform to financial services organisations.
They are looking for an Implementation Consultant / Technical Business Analyst to join their Customer Success team.
This is a broad opportunity combining client engagement, technical implementation, platform configuration, data, integrations, testing and analysis. You’ll work across the full implementation lifecycle, from understanding client requirements through to configuration, testing, troubleshooting and customer training.
The role would suit someone who enjoys getting into the detail, solving complex problems and working across both the technical and customer-facing sides of an implementation.
You’ll join a lean and collaborative team where you’ll have genuine ownership over your work and the opportunity to work closely with customers, developers and technical teams.
The business is looking for someone with the potential to grow with the organisation and take on greater responsibility over time, with a clear pathway towards a broader Customer Success or Delivery Management position.
About the Role
You’ll work directly with clients to understand their requirements, translate those requirements into platform configuration and work closely with internal developers and technical teams to deliver successful implementations.
You will be responsible for:
- Gathering requirements directly from clients and translating business needs into practical platform configurations.
- Configuring the SaaS platform, including fields, business rules and business logic.
- Working through detailed Excel workbooks and understanding complex calculation logic provided by clients.
- Translating calculation and business logic into clear requirements for the technical team.
- Working closely with developers to implement, test and troubleshoot client requirements.
- Reading code to understand how the platform is operating and investigate technical issues.
- Working across large client data files, data imports, integrations and data flows.
- Configuring import specification documents for client developers and data engineers.
- Working with APIs and tools such as Postman to support integrations, testing and troubleshooting.
- Testing data flows and reconciling system outputs and calculations to ensure they are operating correctly.
- Supporting client testing and resolving issues throughout the implementation process.
- Training clients and explaining platform functionality, calculations and business logic clearly.
- Building strong relationships with customers and becoming a trusted point of contact throughout the implementation.
- Taking ownership of your work and contributing beyond your immediate responsibilities within a lean business environment.
About You
You will ideally have 2–5 years' experience in a role such as:
- Technical Business Analyst
- Implementation Consultant
- Technical Consultant
- Application Consultant
- Business Analyst with strong technical capability
- Similar software implementation, software engineer or technology role
You will also bring:
- Strong requirements gathering and client engagement experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Confidence working directly with customers and presenting or explaining solutions.
- The ability to read and understand code, without needing to be a full-time developer.
- Exposure to C#, with the ability to make small changes or write basic snippets where required.
- Strong SQL skills and an understanding of technical data.
- Experience working with APIs, with Postman experience highly regarded.
- An understanding of data imports, integrations and data flows.
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to work through complex data and business logic.
- A strong mathematical and analytical mindset, with the ability to understand, validate and reconcile calculations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate technical issues and work through solutions.
- Financial services or banking experience is highly regarded.
- Technology consulting, Big Four or implementation consulting experience is advantageous.
- Experience working with blue-chip or enterprise customers would be beneficial.
- A proactive approach and the willingness to take ownership beyond your immediate responsibilities.
