Glebe Wanderers vs Dunbar Rovers

Main Image

It’s always a tough day when you play the most organised club in the Eastern Suburbs, and a team who have been the frontrunner over the last 10 years, but with a total of 16 players unavailable, some trepidation would have been understandable.

Yet all 3 Glebe teams entered the day with some optimism and that feeling grew with news filtering across to Hensley Athletic Field that the Glebe 3rd team had snatched a late 1-0 win against Dunbar in the 11am game. A very good result for the 3rds and a very positive start to the day.

During the reserves warm up however, some bad news struck – goalkeepe…

Glebe Wanderers FC Match Report

Reserves 1 pm: Waverley 4 -3 GWFC

Glebe came into the match smarting after a couple of losses and needed to get the season back on track.

Waverley were flying high having won 5 in a row, and while Glebe had quite a few injuries and absentees to contend with, we were happy to have Jodie Scott back after a 4 week layoff with injury.

The game started off to form, with Glebe struggling to impose themselves and Waverley looking threatening, and it was a worthy 2-0 lead that Waverley took into half time.

A stern half time talk from Manager Stuart Emmins, along with the introduction of the fit again Scot…

The Recruitment Company turns 15

Main Image

I’ve worked for The Recruitment Company for 14 years. I’ve called it home longer than any place I’ve ever lived. The people who work here, have worked here and who form the wider community around the company form some of my closest friends.

I’ve literally shed blood, sweat and tears in the name of the company. I’ve seen it shine through more market downturns than I care to remember and I’ve seen it challenge the norms, fight against the commoditation of our industry and redefine what recruiters can expect from their place of work.  The Recruitment Company is a company I can say I genuinely love…

TRC State of Origin - Pt 1

Main Image

To celebrate the first of 2015’s State of Origin matches the TRC team donned their purple and blue attire and undertook an epic march of their own.  Playing for glory and a week of free coffees one half of the office played recruitment rugby against the other half.

Jen’s QLD team put up a brave fight but were beaten to the prize by Chris’s NSW team.   In true origin form it was a day of highs and lows, underhand tactics and blatant gloating for the victors.

Jens QLD team may be bloodied but they are unbowed and are waiting for the next round.

TRC rebrands - appeared in Shortlist 23rd March 2015

Main Image

Sydney-based recruitment company TRC Group has rebranded as The Recruitment Company.

Managing director Simon Moss said the rebrand simplifies the company's branding and addresses changing consumer requirements. "People want to work with companies that are more friendly, more accessible, and more responsive," he said. The rebrand is one pillar of a transformation that also includes a new company website and "personality", said Moss. "We were working through how we could significantly raise the bar in terms of our industry, changing the way we interact with our customers, and this led us down the path of creating a brand that truly reflects who we really are, and what we're all about," he said.

The company, which was founded in 2000, last year divested its Singapore business in order to focus on strengthening its local operations.
